With the holiday season right around the corner, the students will be busy preparing for final exams. Exemption forms will be passed out on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the office. Students will need to meet the exemption criteria in order to be exempt. Just a reminder that 9th graders may exempt 1 final, 10th grade may exempt 2 finals, and 11th & 12th graders may exempt all they qualify for. Some departments may not allow exemptions, so please check with the teacher. The exemption forms are due back into the office with signatures by Friday, December 10, 2010; by 3:30 P.M. (forms turned in late will not be accepted).
Final exams will begin on Wednesday, December 15th and end on Friday, December 17th. Final exams consist of 20% of the semester average. A final exam schedule is attached with this newsletter.
On Tuesday, November 30, 2010, Superintendent Darilek and I met with all drivers to discuss a new procedure that will be implemented very soon. In an effort to promote school safety, drivers will be issued a school sticker to be placed on the inside of their vehicle. When the stickers are ready to issue, the drivers will need to come to the office and show proof of a driver’s license and receive his/her sticker. If the student drives another vehicle temporarily, he/she will need to check into the office and receive a hanging tag. There will not be a cost associated with the parking stickers. All students were informed about the responsibilities of driving a vehicle to school. If you have any additional questions, please contact the office at 996-3103.
The fall semester will come to a close on Friday, December 17, 2010. We will have a school holiday from December 20th-January 3rd, 2011. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 4th.
